Easter Activities Near Upchurch, Sittingbourne, Medway and Kent

The Easter Holidays are approaching fast! Here are some ideas to keep your little ones entertained this Easter!


Easter Egg Hunt at South Foreland Lighthouse

31st March-16th April

At the Easter Egg Hunt at South Foreland Lighthouse in Dover follow the trail, solve the clues and get your reward. A sailing ship has run aground on the nearby Goodwin Sands and has lost its cargo of Easter eggs. Can you help the Lighthouse Keeper find and rescue the eggs? Search for clues and complete the fun activities but watch out for the pesky pirates. Complete the trail and collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg at the end. While there you can also take a tour of the lighthouse. Price for the traill is child - under 16 years: £3 Admission to Lighthouse: National Trust Member: Free Adult: £6 Child: £3 Family: £15 Grounds: Free


Easter Quest at Leeds Castle

1st – 16th April

This Easter, you are invited to join Lady Baillie’s dogs, Danny and Boots, her beloved Great Danes, on an egg-citing Easter Quest through the great outdoors as they hunt for their favourite treats!

As you venture through the estate you’ll be greeted with spring-filled Easter displays where the little ones must CRACK the clues to find their favourite treat… don’t forget to count the hidden golden eggs along the way. When you have finished exploring, you’ll be rewarded with a delicious Easter treat!

The Easter Quest will incur an additional small charge of £2.50 on top of the regular admission price.


Easter Egg Hunt at Knole

1st – 16th April

Discover the world of Rabbit and his woodland friends on an Easter trail in the parkland at Knole. Collect your trail and bunny ears, then head off into the park and find owls, butterflies, insects and deer. Hop around the snail stepping stones and find a giant nest filled with eggs!

The trail takes place between Saturday 1 April and Sunday 16 April 2023, from 10am to 5pm with the last trail being issued at 4.30pm. Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, pencil, bunny ears and a chocolate egg or vegan and free from chocolate egg, made here in the UK from cocoa that's responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms www.rainforest-alliance.org, suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

Normal admission to Knole applies.


Discover Easter at Brogdale

7th April – 9th April 2023

This Easter, Brogdale Collections opens its beautiful orchards for visitors to enjoy an Easter Trail & more! During Easter Weekend, families can take part in a trail throughout the orchards where they can explore their surroundings and hunt down our giant Easter eggs hidden among the fruit trees. Follow the trail map to find all the Easter Eggs to solve the hidden word quiz and collect your chocolate prize. Look out for the Easter Bunny, he will be hopping around the orchards waiting to say hello! Tickets are charged at £5.00.


Easter Family Fun at Hever Castle

1st-16th April

Make some special family memories this Spring with an Easter quest and egg-cellent craft egg decorating workshop at Hever Castle. Celebrate spring by helping the Easter Bunny find their sweet treats as part of an Easter egg hunt around the grounds. With a spring in your step, head to a free craft workshop and let your little ones take part in an egg decorating workshop. Inside the Castle you can listen to an interactive audio guide which is now included in the Castle & Gardens admission price. Before you leave make sure you visit the Hever Shop stocked with Easter goodies. Activities are included in normal admission prices unless stated otherwise.


Easter Egg Hunt at Princess Christian’s Farm

7th April

Come and join the fun at Princess Christian’s Farm Easter Egg trail. This is a working farm providing a unique day service for people with disabilities, this is a great opportunity to see them in action. You will get meet all of their furry friends ranging from lambs and piglets to meerkats and this year’s baby emus. There is also a farm shop on-site and refreshments available.

Tickets for the Easter Egg Hunt - £3, parents enter for free.


Lullingstone Castle Easter Egg Quiz

8th, 9th, 10th April - 11am – 5pm

Lullingstone Castle and The World Garden kicks off the start of its season with family fun with our Easter Trail & Quiz. Aspiring plant hunters will be able to scour The World Garden and Grounds for Easter clues and then report on their discoveries to claim an eggtastic surprise, plus the chance to meet some Easter characters!

Admission price - £12.50 adult - children under 16 go FREE.


Belmont House Easter Egg Hunt

April 9, 2023 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Visit Belmont for some Easter fun. Explore the gardens and search for the wooden eggs to win a chocolate treat, then head back to the Orangery to get crafty with our Easter themed activities.

£6.00 per child and £3.50 per adult. Tickets must be booked in advance. The event runs from 11am until 3pm, last entry is at 2pm. Garden entry is included in the ticket price.


Easter Adventure Quests at Dover Castle

Fri 7th - Mon 10th Apr 2023

Visit Dover Castle for a cracking adventure quest at our sites this Easter holiday.

Explore to hunt for clues and challenges and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race. Track down the Easter eggs and you'll be rewarded with an adventurer's certificate and a tasty chocolate treat.


Easter at the Dockyard Chatham

1 Apr 2023 - 16 Apr 2023

Spring is in the air, and dozens of mystery eggs have been laid across the Dockyard. Follow their trail and solve the puzzle to gain access to the secret Kraken’s Lair. The full itinerary has not been release yet so keep an eye on the Chatham Dockyard website for details.
